Sylvia's father says, Sylvia's packing, she's going to be leaving today
Sylvia's father says, Sylvia's pregnant, and you went and got her that way
Sylvia's father says, you mother f*cker, I'm going to kill you some day,
and the operator says, etc.

That's a beautiful lyric, huh?

That is SUCH an iconic theme
song! One of the great TV openings of
all time. I’ve been watching a ton of
Alfred Hitchcock Presents over at DISHOnline, they have over 150 episodes and a
s a DISH customer/employee I get free access to them and hundreds of other
great shows as part of my service. Love
it! http://bit.ly/dJzWgo

Darin later also used Billy May and Ernie Freeman, giving him legitimate ties to Sinatra.

I wish I could find the tape somewhere, but there was actually a video recording made for some magazine show (ET, maybe?) of Hoyt Curtin conducting the 1985 remake of "The Jetsons" theme song.

Hoyt had some considerable jazz chops and had some great players in his orchestra - Frank Rosolino, the late and legendary trombonist, did the solo for his "Jonny Quest" theme song. Frank had an ascending solo break in the opening theme, and for the closing theme, did a descending one to balance things out. Clever.

Re: Great TV Opens From The 60′s

Alfred Hitchcock Presents http://youtu.be/3nOfjHPcflI
The Andy Griffith Show http://youtu.be/8BmurO7ZW_Q

Re: Great TV Opens From The 60′s

I lived in London in the 70's.
